Your holdings never reach us. There is no account, no login, and no server-side copy of your portfolio.

Your portfolio

Everything you type into the tracker is stored in your own browser under localStorage, at the key bullionitracker.holdings.v1. It is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently, and we cannot recover it — because we never had it.

What we do receive

• Ordinary server logs from our host, including IP address and user-agent. That is a technical necessity of serving a page.
• Nothing from the price feed. Prices are fetched by our server, not your browser, so the price provider never sees you.
• No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers are running at present. If that changes, this page changes first, and consent is asked for where the law requires it.

Affiliate links

When you click one, your browser tells the dealer which site you came from. That is how a referral is credited. We send them nothing about you and we do not learn who clicked.

Photographs

Images are processed inside your browser before any upload: decoded, resized and re-encoded, which discards EXIF and GPS metadata entirely. We then verify the metadata is actually gone before accepting the file. Metadata is only part of the risk, though — read the warnings shown at the point of upload.
